LEDDY-JONES RESEARCH HALL

Research Hall table & door view
Mounted on the inner wall of the John Leddy-Jones Research Hall are the three oldest stained glass windows in the building, which were created by Haskins Studio, Rochester, New York, in 1924. They were moved to the Armstrong Browning Library from the original Browning Room in Carroll Library, Baylor's main library, and are lighted from behind. The remarkable Pied Piper window is the showpiece of the Sturdivant Alcove. These three windows are fine examples of pictorial stained glass.

The ten stained glass windows around the outside of the room were created by Jacoby Studios, Saint Louis, Missouri, in a "Munich-style," during the 1948 - 1951 construction of the Library.

All of the windows listed below illustrate Robert Browning's poetry. Please take a moment to enjoy their beauty and to study their accompanying poetry.
