Use Our Facility

The Armstrong Browning Library will be closed for annual maintenance from Wednesday, May 22 through Tuesday, June 4, 2013. We will reopen on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

Foyer of Meditation-Small

The Armstrong Browning Library, especially the striking McLean Foyer of Meditation on the main floor, is the site of events that vary in nature from university-related functions, such as lectures, conferences, concerts, recitals and student organization events, to portraits and weddings. The Cox Reception Hall on the ground floor, surrounded by the beauty of six stained glass windows, is often the setting for small receptions and luncheons or formal dinners. The Cox Lecture Hall and the Mary Armstrong Seminar Room, also on the ground floor, are convenient locations for small meetings or class discussions.

We are always happy to open the Library for these functions; however, the nature and purpose of the Armstrong Browning Library requires that a certain amount of care be exercised during these events. Because the Library receives many requests throughout the year, we are unable to accommodate them all; therefore, we reserve the right to determine when space is available and whether the function is appropriate for the building. When considering the Armstrong Browning Library for your function, please note the following initial guidelines.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

For the security of the building and the protection of its holdings, library personnel must be present for all scheduled events; therefore, staff availability is a consideration in determining approval of a request.

All events are held at the discretion of the Director of the Library.

No event will be placed on the calendar until all application forms have been received and approved.

For specific guidelines regarding use by Baylor student organizations or Baylor departments, please see the Room Reservations and Rentals document.
